The dispatcher performs efficient and cost-effective scheduling and routing of trucks in support of Bullet Energy Service operations and commitment to customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for efficient and cost-effective scheduling, routing and utilization of field resources.
Schedules and coordinates service calls. Maintains positive communication with all personnel involved in the dispatch process.
Delivers superior internal / external customer service, and handles difficult situations with courtesy, diplomacy and tact.
Functions as a systems advocate. Assists in implementing and improving electronic systems related to dispatch, customer service, billing and GPS.
Maintains the TouchStar Electronic Dispatch Board. Ensures equipment, driver, and customer lease information is accurate and up-to-date.
Monitors driver hours to ensure driver compliance with DOT and Bullet rules / regulations. Schedules alternative resources as required or directed.
Provides assistance to drivers, customers and field technicians having technical issues related to the TouchStar and/or GPS systems.
Coordinates the scheduling / performance of vehicle maintenance with the mechanics and safety team. Ensures that resources are in good condition for safe operation.
Maintains customer tasks, as requested.
Updates electronic customer files as information is received from the field.
Validates driver times and billing information as uploaded to the accounting system; proactively ensures accuracy of data.
Follows established procedures and customer guidelines in the creation and transmittal of billing statements. Helps with the transmittal / approval process by initiating and completing assigned responsibilities.
Ensures smooth transition from day to night dispatch by communicating current status and potential issues prior to end of scheduled workday.
Maintains on-call schedule, which includes first on-call and standby driver.
Performs daily follow up calls with pushers to ensure completion of tasks.

Participates in ongoing training, both independently and as directed. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education / experience.
JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGRISTRATION
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
