The Junior SUAS Evaluator (SUAS-E) establishes, integrates, maintains, and improves the unit-level Small Unmanned Arial Systems (SUAS) program, training and equipment for the United States Air Force Security Forces Center (AFSFC), Security Forces Readiness Training Centers (RTC), and operational units conducting SUAS expeditionary readiness training in support of Combatant Command Unit Type Codes (UTC). This position provides related unit-level technical support, planning, consultation, analysis, and expert advice.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

With the assistance of the Senior SUAS-E, the SUAS Operator (SUAS-O), develops and maintains the Standardizations / Evaluation program. Helps to assure a high degree of efficiency for accomplishing the combat mission of the SUAS force.
Provides unit-level commanders with the ability to validate mission readiness (MR) and to evaluate the effectiveness of individual SUAS-O to include qualifications and capabilities, as well as the development of unit supplements and operating instructions.
Manages and conducts flight evaluations and emergency procedure evaluations as outlined in specific units operating instructions and supplements.
Implements and executes the SUAS-O Examination Program and Standardization / Evaluation Training Folder maintenance in conjunction with evaluations as outlined in respective unit supplements and operating instructions.
Manages Standardization / Evaluation trends program as it relates to SUAS. Assists the group / unit Chief with identification, statistics and recommended changes for all SUAS training trends.
Recommends changes to flight publication and technical orders. Utilizes appropriate AF Forms in accordance with applicable Air Force Instructions and Publications.
Implements the flight publications program. Ensures compliance with the unit Flight Crew Information File (FCIF) program, and ensures proper completion, routing and filing of MAJCOM-approved evaluation forms.
Performs Standardization / Evaluation procedures as prescribed in Annex B to AFSFC CONOPS. Manages the SUASMAN web application and database.
Coordinates and liaises with the Senior SUAS-E as instructed or required. Assists with the maintenance, accountability and sustainment of all SUAS equipment and LOGDET items.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize output. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and Human Resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and a minimum of six (6) years relevant operational military experience pertaining to SUAS training and operations, or equivalent combination of education/experience. Must possess experience as a SUAS operator / instructor with SUAS training and operational experience in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) or other combat operational environments.
Experience should include SAUS training, operational planning and execution, standardization / evaluation, airspace coordination and de-confliction. RQ-11B instructor qualification is required with option to become certified on more airframes as they become available to SF, or as required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Comprehensive knowledge of AF, Army, Navy, Marine Corps and allied services military organizations, SUAS operations, lessons learned and operational policy and procedures
Comprehensive knowledge of AF Security Forces roles and responsibilities in combat and other contingency operations
Comprehensive knowledge of Unmanned Aerial Systems Manager (SUASMAN) web application and database
Comprehensive knowledge of Security Forces Standardization / Evaluation process and SUAS requirements
Knowledge of SUAS equipment, maintenance and LOGDET requirements

CERTIFICATES / LICENSES / REGISTRATION
Active DOD Secret Level Security Clearance
U.S Citizen or Naturalized Citizen due to government or federal requirement
FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot Certification Preferred
