    The Emergency Management Analyst provides professional, technical, and administrative services support to the Physical Security and Emergency Management (PSEM), Real Estate, Logistics and Operations Portfolio (RLO), Program Support Center (PSC). This position works closely with the Physical Security and Emergency Management (PSEM) office to provide emergency management support for selection, requirements definitions, statements of work (SOW), and evaluations of an emergency management solution. 



    Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

    Provides direct support to the Emergency Management Specialists I and II.


    Participates and takes meeting minutes during all meetings with critical partners and key stakeholders.


    Schedules and tracks meetings with all operating and staff divisions throughout the department. Provides logistical support such as, room reservations, room and audiovisual setups, and WebEx setup for various functions.


    Assists in editing all project documentation to ensure formatting and grammar are accurate.


    Assists in editing concept of operations, policy documents, and standard operating procedures to ensure formatting and grammar are accurate.


    Assist with receiving, disseminating and sending communications. Answers, screens and routes incoming calls, and takes messages as needed.  Responds to routine email inquiries.  Performs office administration functions, and prepares regular reports as required by the contract.


    Prepares weekly presentations to brief PSEM team on current project status.


    Reviews the efficiency of administrative procedures within the office and recommends improvements.


    Provides support for other duties as assigned.


    Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company.


    Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize output.


    Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers.  Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and Human Resources.  Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.



    Associates Degree (A.A) and two (2) years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



    Operational knowledge and skill in administrative / clerical practices and systems, such as word processing, presentation development, records management,  schedule / time management, as well as other office procedures and terminology

    Advanced computer knowledge with skilled proficiency using Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

    Skilled in planning and setting up room requirements for events and meetings

    Excellent organization skills with adept ability to set and manage multiple priorities

    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

    Excellent customer service skills with ability to apply good listening skills and to handle unusual or complex situations with a calm and focused approach

    Ability to produce quality work, meet critical deadlines and pay attention to detail in a fast-paced, demanding environment

    Ability to adapt to change and to maintain a positive and professional demeanor

    Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality

    Ability to be proactive, take initiative and accept accountability for assigned work functions

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.



    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.



    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
